Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Stemcell Doctor role based in Mumbai. The Stemcell Doctor will evaluate patients for suitability for stem cell–based therapies in aesthetic, reconstructive, and hair restoration contexts, including detailed history-taking, clinical examination, and diagnostic review. Responsibilities include planning and performing stem cell harvesting and processing procedures in coordination with the surgical and lab teams, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The role involves monitoring patient progress, managing follow-up care, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and other specialists to design integrated treatment plans. The Stemcell Doctor will also contribute to protocol development, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education on treatment options, benefits, and risks.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) and recognized postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD, MS, DNB) in a relevant specialty such as Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Orthopedics, or Regenerative Medicine.
- Proven experience in stem cell or regenerative medicine applications, preferably in aesthetic, reconstructive, or hair restoration settings.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Hands-on experience or training in stem cell harvesting, processing, and administration techniques, with rigorous adherence to aseptic and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with relevant national and international guidelines, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements for stem cell therapies.
- Excellent communication and counseling abilities to explain procedures, risks, and expectations in clear, empathetic language.
- Comfort working in a multidisciplinary team environment with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and laboratory personnel.
- Strong documentation, record-keeping, and outcome-tracking skills, with attention to detail and data integrity.
- Commitment to continuous learning, participation in clinical research or case documentation, and openness to adopting new techniques and technologies.
- Current valid medical license and eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdiction; additional certifications in regenerative medicine or related fields are an advantage.
